Disappointing purchase

I've happily used the previous version, with the wand and brush, which was available in two shades. But beware - this new product, although it is described as colour 00, is much darker than the 00 shade of the original version. Useless for my light skin and looks horrible. Jaundice comes to mind. One for the back of the drawer and an expensive mistake.

Does not work

Having run out of my previous make up fixer and based upon the positive reviews, I thought I would try this product . However within 20 -30minutes of applying my make up, it was already smudging. I will return to my previous product.

Great product !!

I usually order eye products with a sense of trepidation as I have trouble finding one that does not irritate my eyes. Over the years I have developed darker shadows and was looking for something light to even out the skin tone. This product does just that. It's brilliant. My whole eye area looks brighter and make up lasts longer. I love it and use it every day.

Fab problem solver!

Tried this with some trepidation - I have tried so many eye bases and been disappointed. I found they are either chalky or heavy or don't cover my "teabag" stains at all. This is PERFECT. I can use it on its own with no shadow for that "no make up look" or apply colour on top and it stops eye shadow from travelling or disappearing altogether. Initially thought it was expensive for a seemingly small tube but you need a really tiny amount especially if you are using eye shadow. I am in my 40s and have discolouration and veins on my lids and would not be without this product. EVER!

Should have started using it years ago...

I always thought i could get away without it, but the results really are amazing. Made the skin so even and gave the eye-makeup a better look and lasts all day. I have an olive complexion and it looked like it was designed to match with my skin tone. Don't know if it does that effect with other skin tones, but I found it a very impressive product.

Great little product

I really love this little product, its the first time I've used something like this and it did not disappoint. I don't have much time to touch up my eye shadow during the day while I'm at uni, but with this my eye shadow stays in place most of the day so I don't really have to think about it and can just get on with my day.

So disappointed

I used to use Clarins Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base in the pen with brush format which was brilliant and kept my eye shadow from creasing and spreading. It also was a great base to work on. The new one in a tube I was told was the same. Not so. Half an hour after applying, my eyeshadow had spread and gone into creases really badly. I had followed exactly the same routine of cleansing really carefully before applying as I normally do. Why oh why when you have a good product do you repackage it, change the formula and then tell us it is the same. Please, please take note of my comments Clarins. I now have to go looking for a different make.
