I received this product for free from Influenster and brand Jean Paul Gaultier in exchange for my honest review. So far, I’m enjoying wearing JPG Elixir Absolu. The plum note stands out right away—dark, juicy, and slightly sweet, but not overly feminine. It adds a rich, smooth vibe that feels bold and confident. As it dries down, it gets a lot warmer with just enough sweetness to stand out without being too much. It’s a unique scent I reach for when I want to make an impression. The performance is good, lasting 8-9 hours with 3-4 hours of strong projection.

Warm & Spicy = Irresistible

You tend to have to reapply this cologne halfway through the day but is something you can wear to work and a night out. The packaging is elegant and is unique to the industry.

I’ve already had compliments while wearing it, and the bottle looks awesome on my shelf—classic but with a luxe twist. Wanted to like this..

But I can't. Not unless it's the bit that got on my watch band that I'm noticing days after spraying. Le Male Elixir Absolu opens strongly, with lavender, cinnamon, and plum. Its entrance is an act of violence, and I am weak to it in the sense that I cannot stand it. There is too much going on, and there is something so sickeningly sweet about it that almost hurts my head. Great news for those who do like it - it is practically impossible to wash off and performs well, with very strong projection and sillage and high longevity. The bottle and packaging are quite nice as well and the atomizer is fantastic. The dry-down was equally as disappointing to me. The ambrette mixes with the tonka and benzoin to create a smell I find not unlike a musty warehouse, while the patchouli's stink (which I'm normally alright with) shines through on the side. I haven't tried the original so I can't comment on how this compares, but as someone who generally likes Quentin Bisch's stuff, I'm a bit let down. Perhaps I'm just not made to like this one. Fortunately I know family who does like it, but it is a blessing that I do not live with them.

Obviously, it depends on who's wearing it, but the initial burst of fruit and lavender bit so quickly! Wears down super smoothly, almost sweet. Very addictive, makes me want to keep smelling it. I can see myself wearing this for a night out in the winter, maybe spring. Smells like a refined original!

AMAZING winter/night time scent most would LOVE!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This so far has been an incredible scent. Even though it’s summer I have been wearing it during the night time and WOW I am honestly amazed how great this scent is. Much more masculine and more mature than the original elixir which i’m assuming comes from the plum and cardamom. While it does smell similar to the original amazing smelling elixir there are key differences that make it stand out which is why I would pick this over the original. Both are impeccable compliment pullers but I find that absolu lasts and projects longer as well! The additional fruity notes bring this fragrance up a whole another level and I think many people can fall in love with this scent!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] In my view, this release feels somewhat similar to the last elixir version, but with a sweeter and fruitier aroma, along with a more prominent cinnamon scent. While it does smell nice, I personally find it a bit too sweet for my taste. If you already have the elixir, it might not offer enough newness to justify a purchase. As a bonus, the bottle designs from JPG always stand out on your shelf.

Great Fragrance

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Le Male Elixir Absolu is very similar to the original Le male Elixir except that it has toned down the sweetness has more of prominent tonka bean smell and has an added fruity touch. I think it smells great the longevity is also very good and the projection is quite strong for the first couple hours. The packaging is the typical Le Male bottle and Tin but now it’s in solid gold. Personally i’m a fan of the bottle but some think it’s tacky. Overall Value money is decent i’d say it’s a good fragrance. Rating is 8.5/10
