New formula is terrible

This has been my holy grail face wash for years! I'm so incredibly sad you changed the formula. It's just awful.

Not my favourite

Got this as a free gift - thank you! Glad I didn't pay for it though. I have used many Sunday Riley products and this left me unimpressed.There is very little fragrance and I like to smell my products. Did not clean deeply or lather up at all; definitely not good for make up removal. Will continue to use up as a second step cleanse but will not be purchasing.

Did Ceramic Slip, slip on the icon?

I have been using Sunday Riley products for years now, and then I transitioned to about 95% of ALL of my skincare products being Sunday Riley exclusively. I gifted 15 tubes of Ceramic Slip to both men/women since Christmas 2024. I had not been informed by anyone that I gifted Ceramic Slip to where anyone of them experienced a problem with it. Not even a slight hiccup after using it. I actually have received quite many compliments from the lucky gifted people, and many have chosen to purchase it again and again. I have one person whom whenever he comes to my house he goes into my bathroom and washes his face using my own tube of Ceramic Slip on my bathroom counter! He does have his own tube at his own home, too! Before I sent this review, I took several minutes going back and forth to smell it. I don't think that it is different from my own previous tubes. I've always loved the scent of it, and I find myself periodically just picking up the tube for a sniff. I have not been afflicted with any reactions to date. It may be because I use tretinoin cream on my face at night, and if I am having any reaction(s) to my Ceramic Slip I cannot see them. I am going to begin a scrutiny process of my face to see if there is any chance of my skin rejecting it or not.

New formula - terrible

I have been using this twice a day every day for 5 years now. I loved it so much I never even considered buying another brand… until now. I thought I just had a bad batch or something because the smell was just awful. It also lingers. I gifted it to someone because I loved it so much not realizing the new smell.. well they hated it. And now I know why. FIX IT PLEASE

New formula burned my face

I can see from the reviews I’m not crazy. I opened a new bottle and immediately noticed a change in color but thought it was my imagination. I used it for 3 days and my face is burning! My skin is very sensitive and I’ve been using this cleanser for years! It was so gentle on my skin and cleaned without stripping. I am in so much pain right now. My face is burning and swollen from the terrible reaction.

Changed formula

Really like this cleanser as it’s gentle and effective but I think they changed the formula. In the past this cleanser smells different and know it’s much less pleasant…the smells stays on for a bit on your skin unless you mask with some other skincare products … not sure why they changed the formula annoying x

Why did they ruin a good thing

This was my favourite cleanser ever - the only one I’ve used that felt like it thoroughly cleaned my skin without stripping it. Like all other recent reviewers, I’m deeply disappointed with the new formula. The unpleasant smell I can handle for a good product, but the burning skin? No thank you. I won’t be repurchasing.

I see I’m not alone.

I’ve been using this for years, and I thought my most recent bottle was defective. It smells terrible and burns my face! I thought I was imagining things, then I read the recent reviews and see that you’ve utterly ruined an incredible product. Well done.

New formula????

I’ve used this face wash since it actually had clay and was in a glass bottle. Came to the comments bc the cinnamon smell plus slight burning on sensitive areas was new??? Looks like I’m not alone in this. SO SAD. this was the best cleanser, why change it SO drastically. So so so sad!

Nose Formula SUCKS!

I’ve used this product since 2018 and my recent bottle was different. It smells like cinnamon and burns my face. It takes much longer to wash off and is not as effective. I loved the old formula. I’m so tired of cosmetic companies doing this. Such a great product is now trash. Like do yall know how hard it is to find a good cleanser that won’t strip the face and clean effectively? If it ain’t broke, don’t freaking fix it!

New formula is horrible! Stinks!

I thought I received a "bad" one and ordered from somewhere else. Both smelled almost like vomit. The formula is thinner and doesn't cleanse the same. I've used this religiously since 2018ish and nothing could top it and it smelled amazing. Please bring the old version back!!!
