Nice scent, with good performance all in all. Little sweet and tobacco vibe. I really like their packaging in the replica line. For the price you can get them, I find it to Be pretty fair value. Little woody, boozy, and sweet.

Beautiful Curse

This fragrance is amazing. It smells like a smoky, boozy, cheap hotel room……. in a mysterious and elevated way. Like with a few other Margiela fragrances, it nails its title so well that it’s shocking and disarming. I do wish this fragrance lasted a little longer and projected a little more. This fragrance is unfortunately a curse for me. I love it, but when it settles into my skin, the note of tobacco shifts from a smoky smell to a grassy tobacco leaf one. However, it stays smoky and mysterious on my friend. For that reason, I would say do not blind buy this one. Try it on your skin, and if it works for you, DEFINITELY get it because it’s gorgeous. It just doesn’t agree with me unfortunately. As with much of the Replica line, this scent is a great value for the cost, and it has the glass bottle and atomizer minimalist packaging. I love the descriptions given on the Replica bottles.

Jazz club is everything I want in a winter fragrance. I love the opening tobacco and Boozy Notes. The way this evens down into a warm Vanilla is Absolutely Amazing. Along with this the price point is Super afforadable for what it is. You have to at least try this once. It is truly amazing!

Not the vibe

Omg, no. I was so excited to try based on the notes. Such a letdown. All I smell is leaves. Not smoky tobacco sultry; it’s giving grass clippings. Raw earth. I got none of the rum or pink pepper I was craving. So gross.

Expensive smelling

Purchased this for my husband, it is a very masculine scent with a lot of smoke and tobacco. I find it very strong and long lasting on him. The packaging is very cool and edgy and sits well alongside the other products he has from this range. This does feel like an expensive scent, perhaps more than the feminine equivalents from Margiela due to lasting longer.

This smell like your coworker took a smoke break in the bathroom and tried to cover it up with cheap perfume.

Sweet,cozy and strong

I finally got my hands on By the Fireplace by Maison Margiela, and wow — this scent is something special. The moment I sprayed it, I was hit with this smoky, woodsy warmth that genuinely reminded me of sitting next to a fire in a cabin somewhere quiet. Then, as it settled, the sweetness from the chestnut and vanilla came through, which made it feel cozy without being too sugary. It’s like fall and winter wrapped into a bottle. I wore it out on a chilly evening and got a few compliments, which never hurts. It’s definitely more of a cold-weather fragrance, but it lingers beautifully and feels super comforting. I’d 100% repurchase.

I love this perfume! If you don’t like super sweet/fruity perfumes, this one is perfect. It lasts all day too!

Bold, Spicy and Boozy 🎷🎺🥃

Notes: woody, spicy, and smoky, including pink pepper, rum, tobacco leaf, and vanilla. Fragrance could be unisex but more masculine leaning. Lasts more than 7 hrs on the skin. Id lean more towards Killian Angel Share if you're looking for a sexy , Boozy yet rich fragrance. This was ok overall but not astounding.
