Purple Melancholia

Valentino Born in Roma Purple Melancholia is an aromatic fragrance that dries down into a sweet woody base. It has a very similar DNA to most of the other Born in Roma fragrances, but with a sweet coconut note in the background that stays prominent. It gives a touch of sweetness without being too strong, and the woods come out in the dry-down to give it a smooth finish. I get around 7-8 hours of longevity and relatively strong projection. The fragrance itself seems to be a good fit for cool evenings or nights.

The notes of coconut and lavender are definitely most notable and they make a great combination. I think this fragrance is definitely geared more towards spring and summer but could be worn all year as a going out or date night fragrance.

Perfect tropical vibes with notes of creamy coconut, lavender, and ambery woods. I can’t wait to use this all spring, it’s the perfect daytime fragrance that can layer and work well into my other Valentino scents. Great longevity, even smelling pronounced on my clothes days later.

I’ve already got plenty of compliments and I really enjoy the scent myself I’d give it a solid 7.5/10 I think it could last a bit longer but honestly does its job pretty well

It opens with smooth, warm cardamom, then the dry down is magnificent, turning into a creamy coconut with lavender. The warmth of this fragrance is perfect for colder days, fall/winter fragrance. Overall, I am very impressed.

This scent is perfect for those breezy and cool spring, autumn, and winter days. The scent is very soft and subtle with a blend of fruits and vanilla making it perfect for both men and women. The scent lasts about 6-8 hours depending on the weather. Perfect for those friend hangouts, family get togethers, and casual social events.
