Bergamote Soleil - Cologne Absolue

Bergamote Soleil is the ultimate citrus!!!

I live for citrus scents, and this has been my favorite by far for a few years now. I'm very puzzled and a little saddened by the fact that this fragrance is not promoted as heavily as some of Atelier's other scents. Bergamote Soleil is the brightest, most delicious, juicy fragrance around. This is not foodie or candy-sweet smelling. It's perfect, ripe and radiant! I'm in love! I want to wear this all the time, forever!

Wonderful scent, terrible longevity and intensity

I adore this scent -- citrusy and woodsy, in a sophisticated way that manages to avoid smelling like a cleaning product, something to eat, or generic men's cologne. However, I have to use 3x as much of it as any other perfume to be able to smell it, and it fades to the barest whisper of a scent within about two hours. I'd be happy to purchase this if it was a third of the price or 3x as lasting, but not as it is.

Got this fragrance as a sample and my immediate thought was that it smells just like Tatcha skincare products, only stronger. It is a very pleasant, clean and fresh scent and lasts moderately well on me (5-6 hours). I am also someone that is sensitive to many fragrances and this didn’t bother me at all. This is the kind of scent that I can’t imagine anyone disliking. It’s very unoffensive. Personally, I would not purchase but only because I prefer warm, gourmand scents. But if you are into fresh and clean scents, I think you would enjoy this, male or female.

incredible smell

I am obsessed with this perfume. I was on the hunt for a non-sweet lemon fragrance for months and then finally I found this one. It smells incredible, almost a totally pure lemon top note with some spicy warmth underneath. The only issue, as other reviewers have noted, is that it does not last very long. I typically spray it multiple times a day, which is a bummer because it won’t last as long before needing to repurchase, but right now for me it smells so great that it’s worth it.

As someone who works in a scent free environment and I am also scent sensitive, I find this is a natural and "personal" scent that I can enjoy every day. I love grabbing my fav sweater and catching this scent on the cuff or collar and have been wearing and loving this scent for over 3 years and haven't lost my love for it.

Love this fragrance, I bought at first for my best friend and then I bought for myself. It smells so good and it lasts all day for me. I don't know why some reviewers said that it only last 5 minutes, you must be very unique.

Don’t waste your money.

It took me a long time to find a fragrance that I like and this was it! The price tag is very steep however I’m giving it a low rating because it doesn’t last for more than 5 minutes after spraying. Huge disappointment! For such a high price point I was expecting better results from this.

lovely but short lifespan

I was looking for a scent to replace AC Mandarin Glacial, which they stopped making, and I think I’ve found it! This smells like citrus and sunshine. It is a wonderful hit of bergamot on the front and dies down nicely. My only problem with this is that the fragrance does not last long on me at all. Like, barely an hour. It smells so good that I might buy it anyway but it’s hard to justify the price since I would need to reapply 3 or 4 times a day. The Mandarine Glacial has way more longevity in me - I wish that they would start making it again!

I brought home a sample for my mom and she loved it SO MUCH! I immediately bought the full size for her. Happy mom=happy daughter!

Perfect Summer Scent

I love this scent. I have been waiting for years to bite the bullet and purchase the larger size. I did not give it 5 stars because the scent does not last long at all so I find myself reapplying more than my usual twice a day.

The ONE

After spending an absurd amount of time at various Sephoras and asking for, frankly, too many samples, I’ve found it. My HG summer scent (and just in time!). It opens with a sharp bergamot rind before settling into a soft jasmine/green/woodsy smell. The initial blast of bergamot doesn’t last forever, but as a top note I don’t expect it to. However, unlike others, I find that this cologne has suitable staying power for me. I’m almost four and a half hours in and I can still catch whiffs of it. I suppose I got lucky with body chemistry on this one? If you’re looking for a happy, summery, and balanced citrus/green scent that doesn’t take an overwhelming turn into florals and femininity as it settles, this fragrance might be it!

Bright

Excellent balance of bright citrus scent with delicious spicy notes. Wears well and last the day.
