Not for fine hair

If you have fine hair, skip this product. It leaves it weighted down and greasy looking. I’ve tried it a handful of times using a different amount each time thinking I was too heavy handed but it didn’t seem to change the outcome.

Love this product!

I’ve tried just about every volumizing product out there, and the Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer is the first one that actually lives up to its name. The texture is lightweight and non-sticky, so it never weighs my hair down. I apply a small amount to damp roots before blow-drying, and the lift it gives is instant, my hair looks fuller, bouncier, and “done” with almost no effort. What I love most is that it provides touchable volume. No stiffness, no residue, and it keeps my hair looking fresh for hours. Even on humid days, the volume holds surprisingly well. The scent is soft and clean, not overpowering.

Definitely gives a boost!

This product definitely works but you do have to do a bit of experimenting to understand what amount works the best for your hair type. For me, I have thinner, straight hair so the first time I tried, I added too much despite reading and following the instructions. I first tried on dry hair and I could immediately start seeing and feeling the volumizing effect, I really had to work it through my hair evenly with a comb and use heat to amp it up even more. It was definitely the most voluminous I’ve seen my hair (especially at the roots) but it also made my hair a bit sticky, stiff, and crunchy-feeling. I tried on damp hair too and I felt the effect was somewhat muted but after styling with heat, there was still an appreciable volume difference. Overall, I like how this product can be used on dry or damp hair and how it isn’t as thick as mousse, making it feel more lightweight on my hair. I would definitely recommend people to give it a try.

Lots of volume!

This product instantly lifts my roots and makes my hair look fuller without weighing it down. It has a lightweight feel, adds great bounce, and keeps my style looking fresh throughout the day. I love that it gives me natural-looking volume without any stiffness or residue.

So natural

My hair has been feeling super flat, especially the day after washing, and I was surprised by how well this bottle worked. The texture is lightweight when you apply it, and it spreads easily through my hair without making my roots feel coated. Once I blow dry, the lift is immediate. My roots look fuller, and the rest of my hair has this soft, airy volume that makes it look like I actually spent time styling it. What I like most is that my hair still moves naturally and stays touchable, which is usually where volumizing products fail for me. It also gives me a bit more grip so my curls or waves last longer.

it does what is says. its amazing. i recommend this product for people who want to add volume.

Volume for days

This is the xtra large bombshell volumizer from Color Wow that gives my hair volume for days. Thankfully it doesn’t contain any alcohol, salt, or drying resins in their formula. So my hair doesn’t get stiff or weighed down, it just looks healthy and voluminous for days.

I have curly hair but it tends to always be flat so i decided to give this a go and my curls have so much volume this did what it needed to do. I can’t wait to try this when i’m doing a blowout and need some volume.

I have been wanting to try this for my thick hair and I’m glad I did. It fixes my hair the way I like. It is lightweight and has an amazing texture. It is my first time trying and I recommend trying this.

Didn’t work for my hair

I had high hopes for this product. I have natural, uncolored, fine, wavy hair that doesn’t hold styling well and has almost no volume. I’ve tried many volumizing products before with little success, so I was really hoping this one would finally work for me. Unfortunately, it didn’t. I tested it on both dry and damp hair, let it air-dry and also blow-dried it, but I saw absolutely no difference in volume or hold. The only noticeable effect was that I could go slightly longer between washes but my scalp became a bit flaky because of it. I did appreciate that it didn’t leave any white cast like dry shampoos often do, but that’s about it. I can imagine it might work better in the hands of a professional, so I’m giving it 3/5 stars.

I apply it to damp hair from roots to ends, brush it through, and then blow-dry or style as usual This does exactly that and more without making my hair look sticky, greasy, or dry! Love this product! My hair is fine and very flat, I have a hard time getting it to do anything and this worked great.
