It works for my thick hair

I have long, thick, wavy, colour treated hair that loves to knot up! This spray made a huge difference right away. I sprayed it on damp hair, let it sit for a minute, and brushing was so much easier than usual. My hair dried faster, felt smoother, and had way less frizz. The scent is amazing — I first smelled it at the salon and immediately thought, “I need that!” Even my stylist noticed my hair looked less kinky after using it. Definitely a new favorite in my routine.

I’m obsessed with this Amika detangling primer! The bright pink packaging is so cute, I always love the branding details it just looks fun on my shelf. The smell is incredible, easily one of the best-scented hair products I’ve ever used! It works really well on my frizzy hair, helping to reduce frizz and providing heat protection. I use it on damp hair after shampooing and conditioning: I apply a small amount, massage it gently into my hair focusing on the ends, leave it for a few minutes and then rinse thoroughly. My hair feels softer, smoother, and much easier to manage. Definitely recommend! Recently went on a hot humid holiday and my hair in these climate conditions is a disaster, I noticed a difference in the level of frizz! I would recommend and I would buy it.

Great at detangling but don't love the texture

I really wanted to love this as the packaging is gorgeous and it looks great in my bathroom. The ingredients are pretty friendly too. Unfortunately I just don't love how my hair feels after. It works great at detangling but leaves a crispy texture on my hair after and using it on my daughter's curly hair (so I need a lot!) left her with a wet look all day.

Bright and colourful

This product grabs my attention straight away with the bright colours and the 60s vibes, it stands out, the smell of the product is pleasant and it’s easy to use, I fount the mist very light so struggling to know if the product was actually applied, but found it did help with Detangling my very long hair. It works well on damp and dry hair and also protects your hair from heat.

Such a gorgeous hair product! I rave about Amika but this one is my new favourite! Smells gorgeous leaves your hair feeling so soft and easy to detangle!

Love love love the scent of this detangler, you can really feel the difference once you have combed through your hair, leaving it feeling smooth, love the vibrant packaging as it it is easy to spot on the shelves, my daughter also uses this on her thick hair

Absolutely loved this product, it's smells gorgeous and it leaves mine and my daughters hair tangle free. The packaging is great with the lock on the trigger so when taking it away in your bag it doesn't spray accidentally.

Put "The Wizard" to the ultimate test on my daughter's notoriously tangled hair, and it absolutely lived up to its name. A few sprays and the brush glided through with no fuss and, most importantly, no tears! The texture is a super-lightweight mist, not sticky at all, and it has a really pleasant, fresh scent. For the effectiveness alone, it’s worth every penny. The packaging is bright, fun, and the spray nozzle works great. It made styling her hair easier as my fingers glided through her hair. But it also kind of made the hair bands and hair fall out if not tightly put together. But I would take that over the ease of detangling her hair.

If you’re looking for a lightweight, multi tasking

I’ve been using the Amika Wizard Silicone-Free Detangling Primer for a little while now, and I’m honestly impressed. First off, it smells amazing—fresh and salon-like without being overpowering. On top of that, it gives a nice boost of shine and a smooth finish, almost like I’ve just had a blowout. The only downside is that it’s a tiny little pricey for a primer, but honestly, a little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts longer than I expected. For me, it’s worth it because it cuts down on frizz, protects from heat, and makes my hair feel healthier overall. If you’re looking for a lightweight, multi tasking primer that detangles, protects, and smells divine—this one is definitely worth trying.
