The Best Red Lips

The best red lip paint I've ever purchased. I bought this for a NYE party and I'm so glad I did! I applied before going out and it dried really quickly. Throughout the night I was drinking and it barely moved. I think I only reapplied it once. Now it's my go-to when I feel like kicking my look up a notch.

Quite a let down

I have severe allergies and was estatic to find a long lasting lip paint that I could use for work. My options for make-up can be extremely limited so I gave this product multiple tries over the course of about two weeks. I CANNOT recommend this to anyone for the reasons listed below. I was hoping that it would last longer than an hour and I could drink water throughout the day with little to no need to reapply. While it did stay on longer than an hour, I did need to reapply it about three hours after wearing it and then three hours after that. The outlines of my lips remained painted, but the other sections needed to be reapplied with the lip paint. The color it was advertised to be was different from the color it was when tried. The packaging protrayed the color to be a darker red than it was when dried. When dried, the red was very bright. After wearing it three times, it dried my lips out to the point where I have cracks that bleed when I bump them. These cracks are very slow to heal and continue to re-open.

Super disappointed

Super oily, doesn't dry quickly, and it is not a long lasting.

Bold

This long lasting bold color is amazing. Lasts for hours.

Super pigmented and vibrant! But I put on a thin layer of lip balm after applying and it lost some of its transfer-proof-ness. I find that once your lips get wet some of it will come off.

Not worth it

I bought this after trying it on in the store and falling in love with the color (Extra). Within 30 minutes it had completely worn off except for an outline. I was traveling and my lips were dry so I thought that might be the issue. Since then, I've exfoliated, moisturized, used a lip mask...nothing helps. The color will not stay on, except for the outline so I end up walking around like I put on lipliner and forgot the rest. I'm really disappointed. I love the Tarteist lip paint formula and will stick to that.

Fails to stay on

This was my first time purchasing Tarte Lip Paint. I’ve been loyal to Huda and Sephora brand liquid mattes. I reluctantly chose this brand because the color was spot on for my dress. Unfortunately, this liquid matte has zero staying power. In a very short period of time, most the color was gone except for a gross dry outline. Sephora allowed me to exchange it.

OMG

This liquid lip is the most amazing one I’ve tried. I already had one of these in the color Pillowtalk and it’s just as amazing. The only thing I have to say about it is that it can be a little challenging to apply because of the applicator tip, so I suggest using a lip liner of the same color. Other than that I have no complaints. It has amazing pigment; if you’re looking for a vibrant red, this is the one. This lip feels like a second skin and doesn’t budge no matter what you eat, drink, or who you kiss. 11/10 recommend

This can be pretty drying, but I use a balm and scrub beforehand and I'm covered. Lasts well. The color Extra is a gorgeous bright, pure red. I get compliments on it every time I wear it.

No transfer lovin'

I love Tarteist Lip Paints and this classic read is no different. I have come to prefer the matte colors for my lips and eyes and I love they are in vogue right now. Even Tarte's non-quick drying lip paints are low on color transfer (if you blot) but these really help to keep the color on my lips and off everything else. I will begin to transfer if you get... a little crazy, but I love that I can kiss whomever without transfer. It also feels less dry or cake-y than popular 24 hour lip wear while coming off easily with microcellular water - unlike 24 hour lip wear products
