Changed my hair for the better

Even thought this is a protein treatment, the moisturizing and hydrating component of this hair mask cannot be overlooked. Upon the first application, this product glided onto my hair. It provides a good amount of slip, so it was very easy for me to detangle my hair. The scent is a bit perfumey, very floral favored. However it is not overwhelming, and when rinsed out it barely lingers. When washed out, it still kept my hair moisturized. It was easy to continue my wash day, putting in my leave- in and my styles. Its not too heavy that it will weigh down your hair, but it's still thick. I recently had a cut of my damaged ends, but when I used this product before then, it still made those ends feel more manageable than they had in a while. It almost stopped my from cutting them. Perfect for curly hair

This product was given in exchange for an honest review. I often look for products to strengthen and repair my 3c fine curly hair. Most protein treatments make my hair feel over processed or simply crunchy. I usually have to do a delicate balance between protein, deep conditioners and treatments. When I tried this, I was shocked and amazed that a protein centered product could provide my hair with strength but also softness and refinement. I have type 4 coily hair. Some of my hair concerns are dryness, hair breakage, and slit ends. I was very excited to try the L’Oreal Absolut Repair Protein Treatment Hair Mask. On my dedicated wash day, I washed my hair with a shampoo after which I applied the repair mask. The repair mask had a gentle which I felt was nice (not pungent). For people who are sensitive to smells, I can see it being overwhelming. It was very thick in consistency. I really liked the texture. I applied the mask all over my hair, including the tips of my hair, and left it on for 20 minutes. After that, I washed it off and finished the rest of my hair routine. I noticed that my hair felt soft and hydrated after use. I don’t think this made my hair less frizzy. I won’t say this outperformed some of the other conditioners that I have used

They feel fantastic to the touch immediately after usage, but they do appear to have a quicker airdrying time, even though they may still feel a bit dry after. Therefore, it's crucial for me to use a really nice and hydrating leave-in conditioner or oil after. During application, my hair felt noticeably smoother and softer overall. It smells pleasant and powdery, but my hair smells the best after using it. This conditioner doesn't just sit on top or leave residue; it seems to genuinely nourish and strengthen. My hair actually seemed like it needed this mask. It felt smooth and hydrated after using. I did leave it on for at least one hour and 30 minutes. I know I had a lot of split ends that were causing tangles this did help with detangling and after I washed it out I still had less tangles. This took awhile to wash out of my head. I used a generous amount to cover all my strands. I'm sure there is at least four more uses in this tub. The formula is creamy and glides onto the hair. The smell is a 3/5 so it is pleasant enough, but not overpowering. Reminds me of flowers and powder. I would buy this product again.

I did not notice any difference in the softness of my hair, and I only noticed a slight increase in shine. There was some basic slip, but not much that detangling was drastically improved. The only thing I did notice was less breakage when rinsing it out and styling my hair. I did use the Metal Detox Pre-Shampoo, so I'm not sure if that also helped, but it was a noticeable difference in the amount of hair left in the shower. I have Type 4 hair and left it on for 30 minutes, but it seemed like a lot of product was still sitting on my hair. I would like to try it with heat and see if that makes any difference. I've used this twice so far and the first time I saw much less breakage than usual, but only a small amount of breakage compared to the usual the second time. Because it's a protein treatment I'm wondering if I had a bit too much protein in my hair the second to around. I can see myself using this once a month as maintenance. I'd like to use it as a mask prior to washing and see if that results in even less breakage throughout the entire wash day. Do make sure to rinse well as I think I had some build up while styling. The scent is a creamy citrus and not overpowering. The jar is a nice size and I can it lasting me for quite a few months, possibly even a year if I only use it once a month. I'd recommend this if you're struggling with breakage.
